Everything to know about the NFL new league year in 2025

by February 17, 2025

Find the noisemakers, release the confetti and pop the champagne. The NFL’s new league year is soon to begin.

While there won’t be a ball drop or crowd of people celebrating in Times Square wearing adult diapers, the NFL’s new year is another significant date on the calendar – at least for sports fans.

At that point, 2024 will become a thing of the past, relegated to the history books to serve as nothing more than a memory moving forward. Previous achievements suddenly don’t have any significance over the current league. The slate is wiped clean, bringing all teams back to a tie in the standings with no wins or losses.

‘Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind.’

You know the tune. Here’s what to know about when to sing it to ring in the NFL’s new league year in 2025.
