Milwaukee Brewers standout Jackson Chourio left Game 3 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers with an apparent right leg injury.
The injury occurred as Chourio swung at a pitch by Blake Treinen in the seventh inning on Thursday. Blake Perkins replaced Chourio as a pinch hitter as Chourio was not able to complete the at-bat.
He was seen hobbling back to the Brewers’ dugout after the swing.
The outfielder had previously hurt his right hamstring against the Chicago Cubs in Game 1 of the NLDS on Oct. 4.
Milwaukee does have the option to remove Chourio, one of the team’s better hitters, from the roster before Game 4, but it would make the outfielder ineligible to play in the World Series if the Brewers were able to advance.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters after the game that Chourio had ‘continual cramps’ in his hamstring but the team remains ‘hopeful’ the 21-year-old will be good to go for Game 4.
