Anthony Joshua says he will kill you (yes, you) if he can

Jake Paul might want to get his affairs in order ahead of Friday night’s fight against two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The 36-year-old Joshua told reporters on Wednesday, Dec. 17, that although he is a respectful guy, brought up by a good family, ‘If I can kill you, I will kill you.’ Joshua clearly did not mince words, emphasizing that his job is to beat people to a pulp and he does his job very well.

Joshua (28-4 career record) is outstanding in that department. He also holds a massive size advantage over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (12-1). The former towers over his adversaries at 6-foot-6, and normally fights in the heavyweight class, while Paul stands at 6-foot-1 and normally fights as a cruiserweight.

Paul will be fighting up in this bout, making Joshua’s promise to ‘kill’ his opponent all the more believable. Joshua made it clear that he will not hold back against Paul either.

Why does Joshua want to kill Paul?

He does not want to kill Paul in particular. Joshua emphasized that ‘It’s not even that it’s Jake (Paul).’ The fact of the matter is that regardless of who is in the ring with Joshua, it is his job is to beat opponents to a pulp.

When is the Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul fight?

The fight is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. ET from Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The fight will stream exclusively on Netflix. Boxing fans with Netflix subscriptions will be able to watch the fight in its entirety at no extra cost.

Have people died while boxing?

Yes. Several people have died due to injuries sustained in the boxing ring. The most notable recent example is Patrick Day, who died on Oct. 12, 2019 at just 27 years old due to injuries he suffered in a fight.

Joshua himself has not killed anyone, though he certainly has a propensity to knock people out. In his 32 career fights, Joshua has a record of 28-4 with 25 of his wins coming via knockout.
